Scholyn started with a simple frustration: finding local homeschool co-ops, events, and educators should not require scrolling through Facebook groups, neighborhood forums, or scattered email threads. We built Scholyn to make that discovery feel as easy as searching for a restaurant — and free for every family to use.
Start Exploring Your CommunityWe built Scholyn because we lived the problem. Between coordinating co-op schedules, finding tutors and specialty instructors, tracking down local field trips, and buying or selling used curricula — the administrative overhead of homeschooling was real. Scholyn consolidates all of that into one place so families can spend less time organizing and more time learning together.
Joining Scholyn is completely free. We charge nothing to browse, nothing to join a group, and nothing to post an event. Educators can create profiles and offer sessions; parents can book them. There are no paywalls blocking discovery, no required subscriptions, and no credit card to create an account. We want every family — regardless of budget — to be able to find what they need.
What makes homeschool education work is not the curriculum — it is the community. The co-op where a retired chemist teaches chemistry lab, the field trip where 20 kids explore a museum together, the group where parents share resources and troubleshoot together — these connections are what make homeschooling sustainable for families long-term. Scholyn is built around the belief that those connections should be findable, accessible, and free.
